Postcards from 2012

A happy beautiful new year 2013! :)
A 'lil reminiscence into the wonderful last year that took us on a ride through cities and countrysides!

Amla - A small lazy town in Madhya Pradesh to sit back and relax. We were greeted by a wonderful monsoon weather that makes you crave for hot coffee/tea all through the day. ;)

Gwalior - The former princely state of Madhya Pradesh and the birth place of famous musician Tansen in whose memory a music festival is also held. We were here for a day or two but, it would always remind us of the glorious Gwalior Fort, heavy showers, and bad roads.

Chandigarh - A comfortable Shatabdi ride from Delhi landed us in Chandigarh. The city designed by Le Corbusier did not disappoint! The sprawling rock garden, the famous Sector-17 market and the mouthwatering food...yummm! :)

Jabalpur - Another laid back city. The impressive Bedaghat waterfall and the marble structures but more memorable for watching Gangs of Wasseypur in a theater where I was the only lady, not only in my group, but also the whole theater :o

Kerala is an yearly feature of my travels since its my homeland but 2012 took me to Fort Cochin - an enchanting town with colorful murals, cafes, and delicious sea food. And also seen was Bekal Fort in Kasargod. Many more places to visit every year!

Jodhpur was always a city where we transited through until we got a chance to stay there for a week! :) The grand palace, fort, cafe and restaurants and every nook and corner explored! :)
